Troubleshooting

Solutions to many common issues are listed below. If you do not find a solution for your specific problem, or if the problem persists after troubleshooting, please contact Moccamaster USA Customer Service at 855.662.2200.

  • I’ve noticed an organic, “slimy” buildup in my Moccamaster’s water reservoir. What is it, and why is it happening?
  • The power light is not coming on.
  • The power light is on, but the brewer isn’t making coffee.
  • My brew basket is overflowing.
  • The thermal carafe is not keeping my coffee hot.
  • The hotplate is staying on after the brewing is complete.
  • My coffee tastes weak or bitter.
  • The brew cycle is taking longer than 6 minutes to complete.
  • Water is dripping out of the outlet arm very slowly.
  • The glass tube in the water reservoir is cloudy.
  • Coffee is dripping down the side of my brewer.
