The power light is on, but the brewer isn’t making coffee.

If your brewer’s power light is on but the brew cycle does not begin, check the following:

Cup-One brewers

Make sure there is water in the reservoir. The Cup-One must detect water before beginning the brew cycle.

Older thermal-carafe brewers

Some older thermal-carafe models have a white safety button at the base of the brewer. Make sure the carafe is positioned snugly against this button.

All other brewers

If the brewer contains water and the power light is on but no water moves through the brewer, an internal component may require service.

Descaling will not typically correct this issue when the brewer is not moving water through the heating system.
