Can I use a smart plug with my Moccamaster?

While using a smart plug with our coffee maker is possible, we do not recommend doing so – for the same reason that our brewers do not have programmable features. We want every carafe you brew on a Moccamaster to result in the best experience possible. Just as a glass of water left on your bedside table doesn’t taste fresh the next morning, water left in the brewer overnight also goes flat. Coffee ground just before brewing will have a better flavor than grounds that have sat in the brew basket. Starting with fresh ingredients will make your first morning cup that much better, and with a brewing time of only 4-6 minutes, it’s worth the short wait.
