Does high altitude affect brewing with my Moccamaster?

Yes. Water boils at a lower temperature at higher elevations. Because Moccamaster brewers use the boiling action of water to move it through the outlet arm, the brewer will continue operating normally.

At very high elevations, however, the lower water temperature may affect coffee extraction and flavor. If your coffee tastes weak, try a slightly finer grind or slightly increase the amount of coffee used.
