What are the grind settings on the KM5 Burr Grinder?

The KM5 Burr Grinder has settings ranging from fine (1) to coarse (9).

When grinding coffee for a Moccamaster brewer, begin at setting 5. Most coffees will work well within the 4–6 range, although the ideal setting may vary depending on the coffee and your taste preference.

A grind finer than setting 4 may slow the flow through the filter and contribute to an overflowing brew basket.

Important: Always turn the grinder on before changing the grind setting. Adjusting the setting while the grinder is off may trap coffee beans between the burrs and cause the motor to jam.
