Why do some KBGV Select brewers have the word SELECT printed on them, while some do not?

The word "select" refers to the KBGV Select's selector switch, which allows you to optimize your brewing for either a half or full carafe. Our perspective at Moccamaster USA is that "select" is a feature of the brewer, and therefore should not be included as part of our logo - just as our other brewer names and features are not printed on the body of the brewers. The European KBG Select models began production earlier, and they did not make that same decision.

 

Whether or not the body says SELECT, as long as the brewer features the Selector Switch with the half carafe and full carafe icons, it's a Select and will have the exact same functionality!
